Hey guys! I hope you all had a fantastic week! For those of you who are new, my name is Raegan and I’m one of the writers on this blog. I write typically on Thursdays. And Alyssa typically writes on Mondays! How did everybody challenge go being more patient? I know I struggled with it a bit in different situations. It is totally okay to struggle we all struggle. just continue to keep it up being patient. Because we all know that whatever we want has already been answered. Just maybe not the way we wanted.
today we are going to be talking about Who We Are. yes, I know we all know. Like her name where we’re from. But do we know Who We Are In Christ? I can speak for the majority of us. When we wake up and look in the morning, what do we see?
I know I kind of make it grossed out face and try to fix whatever is wrong. I’m sure most of us do that as well. It’s just what we typically do.
Nowadays this problem has increased because of social media we think we aren’t good enough, we aren’t skinny enough, we don’t have a good enough body.
Listen I am going to be super honest. I have struggled with this. I have looked in the mirror several times and just wanted to cry because I don’t think I am good enough.\
It is because nowadays we are told what we are supposed to look like. It is a perfect smile, perfect skin, perfect makeup, and a perfect body dressed in expensive clothes.
But is that really who we are?
Are we lots of makeup with a perfect body due to surgery?
Is that how God sees us?
And the answer to all of those is no.
Because we are a masterpiece of God that’s what it says in Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Guys, I know that sounds silly but it is true when God looks at us he sees our heart, not our clothes. Isn’t that cool. I tell myself this morning. When I look at myself in disgust.
Who will remember in 2 days?
Does anyone really care what I look like?
Nope, everyone only cares about himself. God is the only one to judge us and he doesn’t even judge us with what we wear he just cares about our hearts.
Thanks for dropping by, one last thing. When you look in the mirror today, ask yourself, does it really matter how you look. Or how you hold yourself.
