Hey guys! I’m finally back after all my million trips! I missed posting, and not being able to tell you guys about what was going on!
I’ll fill you guys in! Let’s rewind back a few years. When I was looking for a new team, I ended up at a team named “Ambassadors.” I was so scared that I wouldn’t fit in with the team, but within seconds of me showing up, I had probably met everyone on the team. They were so welcoming, I loved it, so I played for them up until I couldn’t anymore. My last ever soccer game was with them.
I kind of moved on, not hearing from them that often, just a few of my teammates.
A random winter night last year, I was talking to Seth (my boyfriend) on Facetime, and we were talking about the different opportunities we have for the summer, mission wise. We both had a lot of different opportunities, but we talked about it. We prayed about it to see what we should do this summer.
The following day I was babysitting, and I got a text from my soccer coach from Ambassadors, asking me what I was doing this summer. However, I haven’t played with them for about 2 or 3 years. So, I was beyond shocked he texted me! It was totally out of the blue. I believe it was pretty evident that what I was supposed to do. I met up with him that weekend to hear the details.
I was head over heels ready to do it before he even gave me details on it. He told me it was going to be about a five-week-long trip, where I was teaching soccer to kids, and I was teaching them about Jonah. I will tell the story of Jonah in a later post because I enjoyed what I taught the kids.
I told him I really wanted to go, but my parents told me to wait and pray about it.
After they told me to pray about it, I told them about how I was praying the night before. All-in-all, about two days later, I texted my coach and said I was in.
Not fully knowing what was to be ahead, which I will talk about in future weeks!
