Prayer Prayer Prayer!!

Welcome back guys, for those of you who accepted my challenge! I am in Oregon!

How did it go?

Was it that bad?

Exactly it’s pretty easy!  But, guys, I saved everyone’s favorite for the end! And I was tricky in my first post, and used the word supplication! But, all that giant word means is “wants”.

This one is pretty self explanatory but it’s just your wants. I once heard this great analogy though, that God isn’t a vending machine.. I know I sound insane, what do I mean?

Well, when go to a vending machine you only go there when you want something to eat. Most people their prayers only consists of wants not the first three parts I shared in early weeks. When I say, God isn’t a vending machine all I mean by that is we shouldn’t only got one God for wants. He is so much more than that. Our God is incredible and can move the mountains he isn’t just a vending machine.

But guys, don’t be like oh since God isn’t a vending machine he doesn’t want to hear what I want. That is totally wrong. God still wants to hear what you want, but not only what you want.

I also understand trust me sometimes when you are in urgent need of some prayers you go to him, that is totally fine.

It’s just when it is constant going to him for your wants every time and nothing else.

Guys look at,

1 Peter 5:7  “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

In the Bible it straight up says go to God with all your anxiety and troubles. Because he cares! OUR GOD IS A CARING, LOVING GOD! There isn’t a problem too big for Him, & he already knows what’s going to happen in the end of all of it.

We are so lucky to have Him as our God!

I quoted this verse I know like a few months ago, but it’s one of my favorites!

Philippians 4:6 “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Once again it clearly says give your requests to God!

These verses simply talk about God wants us to go to him in times of trouble, and hardships. and to pray to Him.

It also helps having a Christian friend, I know some of you don’t know me but I would love to have you as a friend! Who talk and grow together!

This was the final part of the four part prayer talk! But one final thing. I know we wish sometimes prayer was this magical thing that fixed everything, but sometimes God has a different idea in mind! Keep that in mind.

But guys, now you know four simple parts of prayer! Try to incorporate all 4 this week a few times! Good luck it so fun to grow in prayer.

I love you,

Raegan
